  • Quilting Treasures - Steampunk Adventures collection is here!

Continue the steampunk adventures with this wonderful collection of steampunk fabric from Quilting Treasures. I couldn't resist this fantastic collection, so I made a pocket-rich bag for all my sewing equipment. Check out the fabric in our web shop.

  • Quilt pattern for Tim Holtz - Regions Beyond

The amazing designer Tim Holtz created this wonderful Halloween fabric collection called 'Regions Beyond'. Look for the fabric in our web shop.

  • Holiday Tablerunner

How about doing a holiday tablerunner for Halloween or Christmas?

This was done with leftover fabric and took only 2 days to put together.

  • Potholders

Potholders are a great first project. You get to learn some basic techniques about quilting and you end up with a decorative and very useful end result. A ½ meter fabric will give you 4 potholders. I find that the ideal finished size is about 21-22 cm on each side. In addition to the main front and back fabric, you need 2 layers of heat resistant batting (I use 'Alu-vat') and 6.5 cm x 110 cm (width of fabric) for binding.

  • Trick or Treat bag

I did this 30x30cm Trick or Treat bag in about 1 hour. It is so easy to make. I found some great tips on how to do it on Youtube. Made with ½m of the Flying Witches fabric from Springs Creative and ½m of black for the inside fabric.

  • Shopping bag in Steampunk

Designer shopping at the supermarket? I just love my new Steampunk shopping bag to go get groceries at the supermarket. I basically took ½m of fabric and split it in half for the outer fabric (~50x53cm), a similar size all black fabric for the inside, did two handles and presto. Real easy! I am SO doing more of these!
